| Our Voyage begins in Tenerife,
home to the jewel in the Canarian crown, the Pico del Teide –
Spain’s highest mountain. The only place you won’t be
aware of Teide will be in Sanza Cruz’s busy shopping district.
We sail onto Lanzarote. Lanzarote’s attractive appearance
is largely due to the influence of Cesar Manrique, a famous local
artist who demanded that buildings be kept low rise and local houses
white-washed and their shutter painted a jaunty green.
Next on our agenda is a visit to Morocco. Separated from Europe
by the Straits of Gibraltar, it has a strong French influence, combined
with the exotic allure of North Africa. Leaving Morocco we spend
a leisurely day at sea as we cruise to Madeira. The Scenery here
is so stunning, and has so many flowers any vineyards that it is
often called the ‘Floating Garden’. We swap one island
for another as we sail to the small island of La Palma.
In Santa Cruz de La Palma, the capital city, a stone replica of
Columbus’ ship, the Santa Maria, stands anchored opposite
the seafront and prettily painted wooden houses, adorned with balustraded
balconies line the main street.
We set sail for Gran Canaria, where you'll be able to relax on the
famous rolling sand dunes of Maspalomas or explore the wonderful
shopping in the island's beautiful capital Las Palmas. Our Cruise
concludes the following day in Tenerife
