November 03 - April 04

Atlantic Island, Carousel
It's 'So long' Santa Cruz and 'Hello Lanzarote'. From the Canary Islands' wonders complete with their other-worldly, steaming, volcanic lunarscapes, in stark contrast our next port of call is Morocco's Agadir, 'Pearl of the South' and ancient trading post that still bubbles with life. After a lazy day at sea, our third destination is historic Funchal - capital of Madeira, an island glowing with natural splendour, synonymous with rich cake and wine. We then head for the cool, relaxing calm of La Palma, Canary Island jewel, with dense woods, black sands, fine cigars and an enormous crater. Similar name, different altogether is our final destination, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, a palm-fringed holiday hot spot that's really got it all.

Day 1. Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Fly from the UK to Tenerife, and embark Carousel.

Day 2. Arrecife, Lanzarote
Arrive 08:00, depart 17:00. The most easterly of the Canarian chain stands as in eerie witness to the power if nature; lunar landscapes leave evidence of long extinct volcanoes, while bustling beaches show just how popular a holiday destination Lanzarote has become. Why not head inland to visit Fire Mountain where brushwood burns and hot water is turned to steam within seconds due to the tremendous ground heat of the volcano.

Day 3. Agadir, Morocco
Arrive 08:00, depart 20:30. Known as the 'Pearl of the South', this ancient Portuguese trading post is now a bustling, modern holiday resort whose pride and joy is a fantastic 10km stretch of beach. If you're keen to explore the history and culture of Agadir, a visit to the 16th century Citadel is an absolute must.

Day 4. At Sea
Cruise Atlantic Ocean.

Day 5. Funchal, Madeira
Arrive 08:00, depart 18:00. Madeira's capital is a scenic, undulating town where 16th century cobbled streets and architecture combine with 20th century traffic and amenities. Colonial mansions stand alongside modern hotels and outside the city, the landscape is awash with fragrant blooms, punctuated by the numerous vineyards that produce grapes for the traditional Madeira wine. Don't miss the chance of sledging down the hill to Livramento on one of Madeira's world famous toboggans.

Day 6. La Palma, Canaries
Arrive 10:00, depart 18:00. At the north west of the Canaries archipelago, La Palma is a cool, green island at whose heart lies a huge cater called Caldera de Taburiente. Take time to visit the lovely National Park and don't forget to buy some of the excellent local cigars - reputed to be better than their Cuban counterparts.

Day 7 .Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
Arrive 08:00, depart 23:00. Often referred to as a continent in miniature, Gran Canaria certainly seems to have it all. You'll find everything from bustling commercial centres brimming with shops, cafes and bars to quiet family resorts nestling between glorious sand dunes. Palm fringed promenades, picturesque fishing ports, rugged ravines and even desert sands.

Day 8. Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Disembark Carousel in Tenerife for your return flight home, or continue your holiday with a 7 night stay in Tenerife.
